Road trip.
This was a fairly lengthy trip - we didn't get out of Lethbridge till 9:30 or so, and made a stop at both the Crowsnest Angler in Bellevue and the Kootenay Trout Hatchery at Bull River before swinging north up the Columbia River Valley to pop out at Golden. After a lengthy rest stop, we headed west again, thinking to stop for the night at Kamloops. To our shock and chagrin, Kamloops was full up - there were no rooms to be had anywhere - not even the fleabag Fortuna Inn on the North Side! So, around 9:30 local time, we headed off to Merrit, and finally found a room. We basically stumbled in and slept in our clothes, even if it was almost too nice to leave! all we had time for is a snooze.
Swung into Langley about 10:00 the next day, just in time for full-on festivities prior to Rachel's wedding.
