Theo’s Backyard. A school assignment, blog-worthy

My Brilliant Backyard

Theo

This is my report on my backyard. I'm sorry if it's all snowy, but I think it looks nice.

Yard. I had to take a couple pictures of my yard because it is so big. It has 2 trees and plenty of plants. There is a rocky ledge in the corner that's called the dirt yard. We buried our dead pets in there. There are a couple of mini trees. I also have a, "Plant pool." The Plant Pool is a little pool like thing that is stuffed with plants. We also have the shed me and my dad made, except the parts were bought. I think is an important part of my yard.

Animal. I took a picture of my great big dog, Sami. She did not like the cold, so she kept on trying to go back inside. She loves is outside and when we say the words, "let's go on a walk," she pipes up. She is really playful and curious, especially with small dogs. She loves doggy company, and really enjoys goofing off. She has a large amount of toys, and loves to chew on all of them, even the ones she's not supposed to chew. She is a great, big, clown, which is why I love her.

Plant. I chose my Lamb's Ears. You can see the whole thing, which is full of big flower stems in blooming, and the ear part, which is a fuzzy leaf. It's known as invasive, but I think it's kind of cool to have around. When you're tired, you can pick a lamb's ear, and kind of twiddle with it. It got its name from what looks like, and feels like, a real lamb's ear. I really like this plant.

Tree. I chose the great birch tree. It is a great big tree that has paper like bark. I hear you can write on it, but I have never seen it really happen. If you want to be specific, it's called a weeping birch tree. It is called that, because the branches look like it's sagging and thus, weeping. I like the whiteness of it, and how it looks red and black. The tree is a cool feature to my backyard.
