Although it was bitterly cold for several days up to and including Christmas, we did get some relief on boxing day and a chance to finally clear the sidewalks. Apparantly, this also gave Tim and the kids a chance to try to teach Sami new skills, like search and rescue. This started with finding a victim volunteer:
Then, giving pretty specific instructions, to little avail:
Followed by the slow dawning of comprehension:
And eventual success. More or less.
Probably, she should still not give up her day job, which mostly consists of lying around waiting to be patted and/or taken for a walk.
