A friend of mine told me about these owls on the U of L campus. There's a pair of owlets and their parents, in a nest that seems almost too small for these young birds. The parents hang out nearby, watchful, sort of. They must be used to people, because after noticing that you're there, they just close their eyes and go back to sleep. May 20
