Theo has asked for a long time if we can make pickles, so since it was a rainy August day, we headed out to the farmer's market, to buy cucumbers and dill from the Hutterities (and also, some very nice deerskin work gloves).
Tim figures on a pound of young cukes per quart of pickles. I'm just recording that now, in case we decide to try it again. August 15.
