Yes, it did feel strange being at Malanka without the family dancing, kids running around backstage, and Tim and I variously concerned with ticket money or costumes. But with Theo and Tim at a training camp, Stasha and I came to enjoy the dancing. Few people recognized her right away, not just because she wasn't wearing Ukrainian garb, but because she's grown so tall - as Laurie put it "I wondered who you came with, then realized it was Stasha". Looking very grown, indeed.
