After the sand mandala was completed, the monks chanted prayers for peace and compassion before sweeping it all up. Part of it was distributed to the crowd and the rest poured into the flowing waters of the Oldman River.
The kids begged to go down to the river ceremony as well, so off we went. Theo says he thinks he's one of the luckiest kids in all of Lethbridge. It made a deep impression on both of them.
