Easter break

I finished classes on Wednesday, as well as exams for one course and a major report for another. To my surprise, I didn't feel so much relieved as sort of empty and deflated. It's funny how adapted you become to the feeling of frenzy, and once it's lifted, you hardly know what to do with yourself.

Tim's solution: Play hooky. We had a great day hanging out while the kids were at school, shopping for much-needed replacement furniture (couch and a bed), going to the bookstore, and hanging out at the local pub for lunch.

However, here's a pic of my bedroom prior to the end of class, in mid-paper frenzy:

born of desperation

I have a really hard time working on my desktop computer at home since it's in the family room. After having a generalized hissy fit born of free-floating anxiety, and actually flinging myself weeping face down on the bed, Tim  brought out his laptop and made this ersatz desk from a spare pine board and my halasana bench. Perfecto!

Tim cheered me up with these marshmallow rabbits.  In reward for their loyal service, I ate them.marshmallow bunny guards

I'm still waking up at 6 in the morning thinking of stuff I should have included in my report, or answers I might have gotten wrong in my exams.  It's freaky how this stuff never leaves you. One more exam to go, and then the summer term starts. Yay - sort of.
