Annandale House, Lethbridge

Every year, the family decorates this house to the a power-blasting degree. As hard as it is to believe, it's just as ornate and festive on the inside, too.

As far as I know, this is the first year they've let people come in the yard and look inside the house too. They sold tickets at two local businesses, and the proceeds went to the local Food bank, so I made everybody go, even Tim who complained vociferously. However, he really likes looking at the interiors of old houses. Plus, the family who owns the house had a zillion birds, and a model train that ran around the plate rail of one of the offices. So,  he concluded as we left:  "That didn't suck as much as most of your other lame-ass ideas!"  Uh, thanks hon.

The kids really liked it. Every winter we've driven by and oohed and aahed, and sometimes stopped at the sidewalk, to look, so it was cool to be able to take a closer look. They even got to look in the little train: Img_2296

and hang out at the one horse open sleigh, sort of:

Tim is glad he is not wasting all this electricity:Img_2307
