three coffee cups where there would normally be one. School is still in session, but the kids aren't exactly doing school work. Stasha has track and field day, which for her school means "wait in line to throw whiffle balls in a garbage pail." Theo has already cleaned out his desk and locker and taken all his band stuff and gym strip home, so who knows what mindless busywork is planned for today.
So I decided to call it a hookey morning, and took the kids out to the Round Street for hot chocolate and steamed milk, and a trip to Chapters for some summer reading before going into work late. June 19
